Scholarships for Students Available This Spring

Did you know MMTA grants scholarships for students of MMTA members?  There are two categories, one is to honor graduating seniors who intend to continue music studies in college and the other is for students planning to attend summer music enrichment programs.

The Herbert H. Bowker Memorial Scholarship is to assist with expenses for students attending summer music programs.  It can be awarded to more than one student each year.  Applications are on the MMTA.net website,  https://www.mmta.net/herberthbowkerscholarship.

Both the Nancy Oliva and the newly funded MMTA Graduating Senior Music Scholarship Award are available to graduating seniors.  Both scholarships can be awarded to more than one student each year.  The Nancy Oliva scholarship is open to piano or string majors, applications here:  https://www.mmta.net/nancyoliva.   The new Graduating Senior Scholarship is open to all instrumentalists and vocalists.   Check  the MMTA website for this application which will be coming soon.

Note:  Both scholarships are for students who intend to continue music study, not necessarily as a major. Deadline for all applications is May 31, 2023.
